Ziggy & Anne's Postcards From Home (5)
Note from the webmaster: This was supposed to be
put up on 6 Sep - but I didn't receive it 'til the 7th (all this
rehearsing for the party!), and unfortunately, there has been a problem in
accessing the website due to technical difficulties experienced by our
host company. However, real-life postcards usually arrive late so we'll
apply that to the virtual world on this occasion!
Hi All
Well, the holiday is wearing on and still good weather -
Sandy reckons we are blessed since the sun has followed us from Australia to
Scotland over to Poland and back again - the locals could hijack us to keep
the weather in Scotland
With the September 7th "bash" almost upon us the
days are not long enough to get everything in. So, the BBQ has been out
again with Jock Braid and Beryl visiting from South Shields along with Bill
and Janis Bryce.
As you can see we followed the sun moving down the row into
next door neighbours Alex and Aileen Drysdale's garden.

Towards the end of the evening we moved inside and Tom Scott
the local karaoke king popped in after an afternoon at the bowling club, as
you can see - they serve good stuff in there.
The house is getting full of happy ??? faces.

Next came a local charity do in the Coaltown Village Hall in
aid of the "Maggie" appeal (cancer research unit).
The Coaltown Village Hall is a great venue for these sort of
events having been refurbished well and maintained by the hard working
village committee. The hall was formerley the Miners Institute.
Performing were the duo Sandon and as you can see other
celebrities dropped in during the evening.
Onlookers Alex Dick, sat with Brenda and Billy Laird,
disprove the myth about Elvis being dead.

As is the custom the party continued past midnight
(Cinderella hour) and caught leaving the building in Elvis's wake were, Bill
and Heather Givens, Gordon and Kirsty Bell and recently married couple Bill
(Honda) and Heather Keddie.

After such evenings the walks along the coast, always
refreshes and invigorates. As the following photos show, the view from
Aberhill (below Macduff Castle). Looking towards Buckhaven in the distance.

With the sun setting looking back towards East Wemyss and
the historic Wemyss caves.

September 7th here we come and look forward to sending you
our next (and last?) postcard.
Best wishes
Ziggy and Anne
